‘Above the Flood’

By David Raynor

Our fourth play of the evening brings the first act to a close.  On the 10th floor above the rising flood Gaz and Mark find refuge. They need food. They need shelter. What they find is a half eaten biscuit and… They’re not alone. Time’s getting on and it’s perfect weather to fly.

David has many years experience working in theatre. As an actor he has performed in many professional productions including Cooking With Elvis at Bolton Octagon. He also worked with RSC, York Theatre Royal and Live Theatre among many companies. David currently teaches drama part time at Newcastle College as well as leading youth theatre and directing/devising for Live Youth Theatre and Theatre Royal. David’s real passion is writing, something he has recently started to apply more time and energy to. David, alongside the other Playing Up writers, recently graduated from Live Writers Group where he wrote a one act play ‘Targets’. David is currently developing ‘Above The Flood’ into a longer play.
